Hello!

My name is Makay (pronounced Ma-kay). I was lovingly named after my two grandmothers, Marietta and Katherine, and I like to think I carry a little of each of their creativity and strength with me.

I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. Creating has never been just something I do—it has always been part of who I am.

My artistic journey began with earning a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from California State University, Northridge. From there, my path took me into the entertainment industry, where I explored many creative roles, including acting, budgeting and finance, and eventually producing cable television shows. Along the way, I also worked as a professional photographer before embracing life as a multi-media artist.

Today, I am honored to be a certified Paint From Your Soul™ Facilitator. This beautiful process has touched my life in profound ways, offering healing, self-discovery, and a deeper connection with myself. It has helped me quiet my inner critic, uncover meaningful insights, and experience the joy of creating from a place of intuition rather than expectation.

It would be my privilege to share this experience with you. Whether you consider yourself an artist or have never picked up a paintbrush, you are welcome here. My hope is to create a warm, supportive space where you can relax, explore your creativity, and discover what your soul has been waiting to express.
